Currently when an offline test is started our system looks for the access token from a usb key on the E drive. This has worked successfully for a couple of years. However, due to other considerations currently within our organisation, company policy now states that any usb connected, by default should choose O as the preferred drive.
I’ve checked the properties of the e-drive configs but they appear to be encrypted and it might be that only OCR can give a solution to this problem?
I've never had any problems with Avant, which it seems very similar to. However it doesnt feature RSS, as avant does, without which I never would have known about this thread
Ubuntu has become one of the best stable OS ever. Lot of developers are working very hard to make this happen. I love the stability, graphics, security and so many.
This is going to became a future Operating System since it is free. Come with a live CD too.
No license issues, no Microsoft saying that if you own 3 PC's you need to but 3 licenses! Give me your money!
Ubuntu has a great community, with help for all problems. This is a real alternative to Windows, and if this is not for you there are another 340+ other distros!
I turned to Linux and never looked back, after years spent with an aged Windows, fighting spam, viruses and Microsoft's poor operating system, enough was enough. After using Ubuntu you can see where Microsoft gets their ideas from, but does not do it well.
Ubuntu Karmic Koala is the latest release, comes in a variety of basic choices but the customisation is unlimited. I prefer Gnome desktop environment, but KDE is great for first timers. Plus you do not need over top PC specs to simply run a desktop environment, like Win Vista or Win 7 (this is the ultimate Linux rip off)
Anyone who says it does not work, simply has not given it a fair go. This is a concept of freedom, Microsoft will not be holding your hand and telling you how to use your system... You have to learn a new concept of PC use!
1. Free OS
2. Free community help
3. Free software
